Career benefits

Personal Development

Your development – both professional and personal – matters to us. There are no annual appraisals at the John Good Group. Instead, our modern performance development programme focusses on agile goals and regular, informal discussions. We also pay for professional memberships and subscriptions.

Training

We have a dedicated learning and development advisor on our HR team, who can help you to explore your training and professional development options. We have access to a number of funded training programmes that cover core skills, management techniques and industry specific subjects. We are committed to re investing in our employees through our levy and supporting wellbeing through an on going cycle of Mental health first Aid training and awareness.

Career mobility

Our internal recruitment network means you will always be the first to hear about new vacancies in the company.

Travel opportunities

If you work in Good Travel Management, familiarisation (FAM) trips are a regular benefit, offering the chance to travel to various international locations with our travel partners. Many of our other UK roles also give you a chance to visit different areas of the UK, and some roles can involve international travel too.

What we value

When selecting candidates for a role, personal values and behaviours are just as important to us as the knowledge and skills a candidate may possess. Industry knowledge and experience is advantageous for anyone applying to us and we will support on-going development of those skills and knowledge throughout your time with us.

Our recruitment process

We advertise most of our roles internally first. When recruiting externally, we use a range of methods from employee referrals to internet jobs boards and recruitment agencies. You can find all the roles currently on offer here on our website, and on our social media pages.

Our interview process is always localised to the area the role is in, and for management roles we use modern personality profile techniques to match the right people with the right roles. The number of interviews and other assessment methods you attend will depend on the role you are applying for.
