It is the first round of John Good Group’s Employee Giving Programme initiative 2024, Grants for Good. The five finalists were chosen by our panel at Matthew Good Foundation who continue to be our incredible facilitators of our Employee Giving Programme. £15,000 will be shared between the five charities with the largest donation of £5,000 going towards the winner of the John Good Group employee vote.
The Grants for Good fund awards £60,000 annually, with £15,000 shared each quarter between five charities. The Matthew Good Foundation received over 400 from small charities and projects, so it was certainly difficult for them to pick the final five.
During the process of choosing the finalists, the Matthew Good Foundation panel get to know the people behind these amazing initiatives. These are often very innovative grassroots causes formed in response to the quickly changing needs of the communities around them. The final five that were chosen all have incredible leadership, and we are confident that a small grant will go a long way towards helping them to achieve their goals.
Let’s have a look at the results of our Q1 Grants for Good:
